the Bible course

Why attend?

Attend this Course and learn to understand the Bible for yourself.

If you want to know what the Bible is about, then this course is for you. It doesn’t matter whether you know something about the Bible or nothing about it. It doesn’t matter if you have a faith or not, the course is open to everyone and is entirely free.

There will be no attempt to convert you. Our aim is to allow you to become familiar with the Bible so that you can draw your own conclusions about it.

This eight-week course is an opportunity for you to get to know for yourself what the Bible is about.

Here’s what you can learn:

  • Who wrote the Bible — where it came from
  • How to find your way around the Bible
  • An overview of each book of the Bible in a concise, easy to understand manner
  • How to get past the difficult language sometimes used in the Bible
  • What the Bible says happens at death
  • Why there is suffering and wickedness in the world
  • Why the Old Testament is important
  • What Jesus teaches
  • What Bible prophecies say about our time, about Israel and the future
  • Basically, what the Bible has to say to us

Four reasons why you should attend:

  1. Discover that Bible study can be enjoyable. The Bible is exciting and relevant for today.
  2. Whether you believe the Bible or not, it is worth finding out what it has to say.
  3. You can develop skills which enable you to read the Bible with more understanding. Many people want to understand it but find it difficult.
  4. Everyone attending will receive free materials including a binder with notes on each part of the course. These hand-outs will allow you to review the material in your own time, at your own pace.

Our promises to you:

  • You will never be asked for money, to purchase materials or to make donations of any kind (and we mean never!).
  • No-one will ever call you on the phone or in person to attempt to “convert”, “save” or put you under pressure.
  • You have no obligation. You can leave the course at any time with no strings attached.
